2021 League of Legends LCS: Where We Stand

ESPORTSREPORTER.COM / DANTE SRILAPA – SENIOR EDITOR  / JANUARY 19TH, 2021 /

Hey summoners and welcome to the LCS! We’ve gotten a bit of a ways into the LCS already, but below are the current league standings in case you haven’t been keeping up.

Over in Group B, Evil Geniuses sit decisively at #1, with Cloud 9, Immortals/Dignitas, and FlyQuest trailing behind in that order. However, Group A is where the true action is happening, in my opinion.

There is currently a three-way tie between TSM, Team Liquid, and the always fashionable 100 Thieves. Behind them are Golden Guardians in 4th and Counter Logic Gaming in 5th. CLG hasn’t seen a Worlds win since 2016, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen this year unless they can pull their synergy together.

What I’m currently loving is all the Twitter banter between teams. If you haven’t heard, Riot has created a Twitter for LCS updates, and the interactions are hilarious.

There’s nothing I love more than some online rivalry. CLG was noticeably quite at the beginning of all this though. Probably for the best, no one wants to talk smack just to get smacked, amirite?

Stay tuned for weekly LCS updates as well as future play highlights.
